TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

Mandarin Yu Garden: Built during the Ming Dynasty, features intricate pavilions, serene ponds, rock formations, and lush greenery, creating a peaceful retreat from the city's bustle. The garden’s artistic design reflects traditional Chinese landscape architecture, offering a glimpse into Shanghai’s rich cultural history.

The Bund: Shanghai’s famous riverfront on the west bank of Huangpu River, packed with an eclectic range of buildings from the European colonial period.

Day 1: ARRIVAL SHANGHAI

Upon arrival at Shanghai International Airport, you will be welcomed by your driver and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, take some time to relax and recover from your flight. If you’re feeling up for it, venture out and begin exploring this vibrant metropolis. Discover the dazzling skyline of Pudong or immerse yourself in the charm of Shanghai’s traditional neighborhoods like the French Concession.

Day 2: SHANGHAI: CITY TOUR

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, meet your guide to begin your day of exploring Shanghai. Start with a leisurely stroll through Fuxing Park, a peaceful oasis where you can observe locals practising tai chi, playing chess, and enjoying other leisure activities. Next, visit the enchanting Mandarin Yu Garden, a classical Chinese garden filled with intricate pavilions, koi ponds, and rockeries. From there, wander through the vibrant streets of Shanghai's Old Town, soaking in the city's rich history and traditional architecture. For lunch, indulge in a delicious Shanghai-style dim sum at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the revered Jade Buddha Temple, home to two exquisite jade statues of Buddha. Then, ascend to the 88th floor of Jinmao Tower for a breathtaking panoramic view of the city’s skyline. Conclude your tour with a relaxing walk along the iconic Bund, with its stunning colonial-era buildings, and explore the lively Nanjing Road, a shopper's paradise.

Day 3: SHANGHAI

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a free day at leisure or join our optional excursion to Zhujiajiao village (not included).

Zhujiajiao Village Excursion: Zhujiajiao, an ancient water town just outside Shanghai, known for its picturesque canals and traditional charm. Upon arrival, explore the village’s narrow streets lined with quaint shops, historic buildings, and arched stone bridges. Enjoy a peaceful wooden boat ride through the winding canals, taking in the town's serene beauty from the water. For lunch, savor authentic local dishes at a charming restaurant in the village. Afterward, return to Shanghai and spend the afternoon strolling through the tree-lined streets of the French Concession. Discover its unique blend of European-style architecture, trendy boutiques, and cafés, while soaking in the atmosphere of one of the city’s most fashionable and historically rich districts.

Day 4: DEPARTURE SHANGHAI

Enjoy one last breakfast at the hotel and some free time before your driver takes you back to Shanghai International Airport for your departure flight.

Comfortable and light clothing is best suited to travel in the warm months and warm clothing in the colder months in China. Visitors should not wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or sparse clothing when visiting temples, religious or official buildings. Sun protection, sunglasses and a hat can be very useful during your stay.
